How to Assign Lead Status in HubSpot
| HubSpot Lead Status: | Definition: |
| New | You have identified a new lead. |
| In Progress | The lead is legitimate and you intend to learn more about them. |
| Attempted to Contact | You are attempting communication but have not connected. |
| Connected | You’ve connected with the lead and are working to qualify the opportunity. |
| Open Deal | You have created a deal for the qualified lead. |
| Unqualified | You connected with the lead and established they are unqualified. |
| Bad Timing | You connected with the lead and established timing is not right. |
| Bad Lead | The lead is spam or they are not qualified as a viable lead and should be removed from the system. |
